William Burl Barrows, 88, passed away peacefully December 24, 2013 at his residence at the Sweet Life Rosehill in Shawnee, Kansas.
Burl was born January 20, 1925 in Browning, Missouri to Benjamin and Nellie Barrows. He graduated from Purdin High School and served in the Pacific in the United States Army. Burl was retired from the K.C., KS Board of Education where he worked in maintenance, and was also a 30 year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Wyandotte Aerie 87.
Burl was predeceased by his wife of more than 25 years, Leeoramay Barrows and his brothers, Ben and Warren "Ed" Barrows. Burl will be missed by many friends and family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the mausoleum at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
