William “Bill” Clayton Daniels, 79, passed away at home on August 14, 2016, after a long battle with lung cancer. Bill was born on April 24, 1937 in Sanderson, West Virginia. He was one of 7 children, including 6 boys and 1 girl.
Bill was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force moving to Kansas City, MO, upon retirement. He later worked for the USDA for 25 years, and finished his years as an entrepreneur in the real estate industry. He and his wife, Angel, enjoyed traveling, especially cruising through the Caribbean. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Angel; 5 children – Billy Daniels of Peculiar, MO, Angela Daniels of Kansas City, MO, Jeanette Daniels, Chris Keplinger of Norfolk, VA, and Renee (Keplinger) Allen of Wilmington, DE; 2 grandsons – William Allen and Stephen Allen; as well as 13 nephews and nieces and several grand-nephews and grand-nieces from the Charleston, W.V. area.
A visitation will be from 2-3 Friday, August 19th following with a service celebrating Bill’s life with military honors after at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210.
