WILLIAM V. HERWIG, 85, of Overland Park, KS died May 17, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, May 20 at the Johnson County Chapel.
Bill was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 12, 1928 the son of Fred and Gladys Herwig. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a proud member of the Class of 1946 at Shawnee Mission High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Kansas in 1950.
In 1953 he married Maydelle Seeling and had three children, Dr. Robert Herwig, Suzanne Sutherland and Mark Herwig.
He had a life-long career in the Floor Covering Industry.
After losing Maydelle to Alzheimers in 2002 he married Betty Perkins and they were members of Hillcrest Covenant Church.
