William H. Keith, 92, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009 at St. Luke’s South Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 3rd at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 2nd at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, attn: Receipting Dept., 8701 Leeds Road, Kansas City, MO 64129.
William was born on May 5, 1917 in Buffalo, MO. He graduated in 1939 from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO. William spent his career helping handicapped people as the Assistant Commissioner of Education for the State of Missouri. He retired in 1983 and became a gentleman farmer, raising horses and llamas. William was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Gerry; daughter, Nancy; son, Don; daughter-in-law, Linda; grandchildren, Bill and Christine; and many other family and friends.
