William Kent Kelm (Bill), 55, of Overland Park Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday evening, September 10, 2008.
Bill was born in Dallas, Texas on September 3, 1953, one of two children of Norman and Josepha Kelm who both preceded him in death. He moved from Dallas to the Kansas City area in 1988 and remained a metro resident here until his death. Bill was a hairstylist for many years although he was a man of many talents in many areas. He aided area residents in interior design as well as landscaping, and was also a co-owner of a local residential design firm in Lenexa Kansas. Bill was known for his gentle and giving nature as well as his sense of humor, and was loved by many who will now miss him.
Bill is survived by his partner, Mr. Bruce Hollenbeck of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by his brother, Mr. Keith Kelm and wife Sandy Kelm of Red Oak, Texas, as well as his niece, Ms. Amber Kelm of Dallas Texas.
Memorial services will be held at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it was Bill's wish that donations be made to the American Cancer Society so that others may benefit.
