William Lovell

William R. Lovell, 85, passed away February 16, 2008. Formerly from Overland Park, Kansas, William lived in Carrollton, Texas for the passed several years. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, February 20 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. at the chapel. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in William's name be made to Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 W. 95th, St., Overland Park, KS 66212. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, William retired in 1987 after 8 years as Business Manager for Avila College, and 21 years with Western Auto Supply Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He attended the University of North Carolina and graduated from the University of Arkansas. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity. William was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church in Overland Park, Kansas, and Christ United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. He was also a member of Friends of the Art, Elks, Humana Seniors, Tomahawk Hills Seniors in Overland Park and the Shepherd Center of No. Dallas. William is survived by his brother James C. Lovell of Carrollton, Texas.
