William Starr Price, age 62, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 10th at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence, KS. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 9th at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, Attn: Overland Park Elementary School Fund, 1055 Broadway, Ste 130, Kansas City, MO 64105 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 South Lindbergh Boulevard, Saint Louis, MO 63131.
Bill was born on October 19, 1947, in Topeka, KS. He graduated from Missouri Military Academy. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Bill was a small business owner of Overland Vintage Tin. He was an avid member of the NHRA and supporter of drag racing. He was a member of the Abdallah Shrine. Bill was a member of the NRA.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and his mother, Virginia. Survivors include his brother Byron; two nephews, Michael and Joe; niece, Sonja; grandnephews, Brandon, Bishop and Mikel; grandnieces, Haven and Kailiegh Price. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Sharon and Sharon’s daughter and granddaughter, Debbie and Katie.
