William F. Stewart, 89, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Bill was born January 24, 1924, in Kansas City, MO, to Raymond and Ella Mae Stewart. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in WWII. He married Edna E. "Beth" Hopkins on November 15, 1945. Together they raised four children. He retired from Bendix Corp as a NC Analyst.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years; parents; and brother, James Stewart.
Bill is survived by his four children, David (Mary) Stewart, Rick Stewart, Terry (Mark) Szymanski and Lisa (Greg) Barrett; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Interment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
