William M. Symon Jr., 84, of Leawood, KS passed away on October 25, 2007 at his home. He was born November 14, 1922 in Kansas City, MO.
William served in the Army during WWII as an Artillery Observation Pilot. After the war he served in the Army Reserves for 30 years, retiring as Lt. Colonel. He attended the University of Missouri, and graduated from the University of Missouri Law School. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. William was the former General Counsel for Old American Insurance Company for over 30 years. Of Counsel for Lathrop Gage until 1999, when he retired. He was also a member of Saddle and Sirloin for over 30 years.
Mr. Symon was preceded in death by his ex wife, Helen French Symon. He is survived by his wife, Susan K. Symon; daughter & son-in-law, Terry and Mary Tapley; stepson and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mari Hoerner of Pahrump, NV; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Mike and Joanne Sekulic of Chicago, IL; 4 step-grandchildren, Brian Ebbitt, Jim Ebbitt, Alexander Sekulic and Sofia Sekulic.
Memorial Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor?s favorite charity in memory of William.
