William Wasmuth, 81, Leawood, Kan., passed away June 13, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice House.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Leawood United Methodist Church, 2915 W. 95th Street. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Private inurnment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Leawood United Methodist Church or Salvation Army.
Bill was born May 24, 1927, in Huntington, Ind. He graduated from Andrews, Ind., High School and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He was employed for 35 years at Bendix/Honeywell in the audit department. He participated in athletics for many years. Bill enjoyed golfing and quiet reading. He liked to travel by car throughout the country with his wife during their retirement years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. Bill was a member of Leawood United Methodist Church. First and foremost, he loved his family and that was his greatest joy. Survivors include his wife, Pat; daughter, Amy (Rick) Parent; daughter, Julie Davis; grandchildren, Ashlee and Kyle Davis, and Sean and Mandy Parent; brothers, Allen and David; and sister, Margaret Bradburn.
