Mr. Wyman Rieck

Wyman Edward Rieck, 85, of Overland Park, Kan., died June 3, 2010, at home. Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at D.W. Newcomer's Son's Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Wayside Waifs. Mr. Wyman E. Rieck was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Kingston, Wis. Wyman was raised in Markesan, Wis., and graduated from high school in 1942. Wyman served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 as a U.S. Pharmacist's Mate. Wyman married Elaine V. Henslin on Nov. 17, 1946. Wyman attended Beloit College in Beloit, Wis., and was a member of Phi Eta Sigma Scholastic Honor Society. The couple resided in the Kansas City area, where Wyman completed a professional career in Pharmaceutical Sales. Wyman was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years. Wyman is survived by sister, Norma Lansing and nephew, Robert Lansing. Wyman shared his love as a craftsman and fishing with close friends, neighbors and family.
